She has previously been the Simulation Coordinator at the University, and also started and previously ran the Standardized Patient Program. Dr. Anderson was involved with the Simulation Innovation Resource Center project for the National League for Nursing/Laerdal Medical. |

Judy Bedard is currently the Director of Nursing Staff Development at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. She has over 30 years nursing experience in a variety of clinical and leadership settings and has been recognized as one of the Top 100 nurses in Shelby County, as well as, receiving the Nurse Excellence in Education award. For the past seven years, Judy has been spearheading simulation for Baptist Hospital Memphis and serving as the simulation consultant for the other 14 hospitals within the Baptist corporate system. |

Carolyn Cason, RN, PhD

Dr. Cason joined the College of Nursing, University of Texas at Arlington where she provided leadership in creating the research infrastructure needed to support the College of Nursing PhD program and was instrumental in defining and implementing the program’s focus on healthcare for cultural diverse and vulnerable populations. She developed the model for the SMART Hospital™ and, as co-founder, has successfully acquired funding for it from both private and governmental sources. |

Lori Clay

Lori joined the nursing faculty as Assistant Professor of Nursing in the year 2006, primarily teaching pediatric theory and clinical. She moved to a 12-month faculty commitment in August 2009 as Clinical Learning Center Coordinator to integrate simulation across the curriculum for the traditional BSN, accelerated BSN, LPN to AASN at the Jonesboro campus, as well as serving as a resource for three AASN programs at distant campuses. Lori is also is a Certified Pediatric Nurse. |

Tara Crockett has over 14 years critical care experience and has maintained her critical care certification since 1996. She has worked primarily in the SICU/MICU as a critical care nurse in Wisconsin, Alaska, Washington State and most recently at the University of Colorado caring for heart, lung and kidney transplant patients. Tara joined Medical Simulation Corporation in 2009 as a Clinical Development Specialist and assists with the development and training of both the web-based Healthcare Quality Initiative modules and the corresponding simulations. |

Darla Forsberg has had responsibility for patient care in several medical surgical and obstetrics during her career. After 25 years of hospital nursing experience she returned to Texas Woman’s University to obtain a master’s degree in Nursing Education, graduating in 2006. She accepted a position at Blinn College in Bryan, Texas in the Associate Degree Nursing program beginning in 2005. She designed and implemented simulation as a capstone experience for semester 1 students during her second year as faculty in the skills course. |

Donna Haynes is responsible for recruitment and staff education at Pullman Regional Hospital. Donna has been an integral part of the development of a simulation lab through which blended learning experiences have been introduced to the staff resulting in an increased level of both confidence and competence in skill development and maintenance. Donna has successfully implemented an extensive electronic learning program for both clinical and non-clinical staff that is truly accessible “anytime-anywhere” both in-hospital and from remote locations. |

Henry Henao is a clinical assistant professor of Nursing and currently serves as the Director of the Simulation Training and Research Center (the STAR Center) at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. In this capacity, Henry provides the vision and manages the daily operation of a 16,000 square foot facility which houses twenty high-fidelity human patient simulators and opened in Feburary of 2010. Henry has served as a consultant on faculty development, curriculum integration, design, development, and operations of simulation centers. |

Terri has been involved in nursing education for over ten years. She moved from the class room to the simulation lab by accepting the role of Director of Simulation for Academic Programs at the University of Texas at Arlington’s Smart Hospital. Her duties have been expanded to include many of the general management responsibilities of the Smart Hospital including: supervision of a wonderful staff of individuals skilled in all aspects of simulation, equipment management, development of scenarios, and evaluation of students through simulation. |

Renee began her career as a nurse educator with Hill College in 2000, and is currently the Vocational Nursing Program Director. She was nominated for the NISOD Excellence in Teaching award by her peers in 2007, and is a Certified Nurse Educator through the National League for Nursing. She has incorporated clinical simulation into the Vocational Nursing Program, and is currently studying the impact simulation has on critical thinking. |

While at the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Mary Lee Lemley has held various positions in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and currently serves as the Perinatal Regional Outreach Educator. Working with high fidelity simulation, she travels to a number of local and remote locations with the mobile simulation unit. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist she brings to the role not only knowledge of neonatal bedside nursing skills and high risk deliveries but also advanced practice skill sets such as endotracheal intubation and chest tube insertion. |

LuAnn Martin has 22 years of nursing experience and 15 years of experience as an educator. As a leader in healthcare, she started her own business, Healthsavers, in which she has published and presented for several healthcare facilities in the community. LuAnn also worked as a nursing instructor and clinical educator before coordinating and instructing the evening nursing program at Catawba Valley Community College. She was an item test writer for ATI and has been a reviewer for several nursing textbooks. |

Sami has recently been named Director of Simulation and Clinical Labs at Blinn College. Sami has been a Registered Nurse for almost 30 years with experience varying in Pediatric Nursing, Intensive Care Nursing, Camp Nursing, School Nursing, Teaching, and Home Health Care. Sami has been a part of the initial development and expansion of simulation integration into the curriculum at Blinn College, Allied Health Programs. They have developed multiple simulations for student learning, including the capstone for our First Semester novice nursing students. |

Susan P. Scheid is a Clinical Faculty Instructor for the Smart Hospital at the University of Texas at Arlington. She received her BSN degree from Baylor University in 1982. Susan worked as a staff nurse for 28 years in multiple clinical areas, specializing in Maternal Child Health for the last 20 years and High-risk Obstetrics for 14 years. She received her MS degree in Nursing Education from UT Tyler in 2009. She has taught undergraduate BSN students in Obstetrics since 2009 and now teaches all levels of nursing students in the simulation lab at UTA. |
